Once the toads awake from hibernation by gradually increasing the temperature, they will be introduced in pairs to breed for the season. If successful, each individual pair can lay up to 7,000 eggs at one time. These eggs, eventually hatching into tadpoles, will be shipped out to Laramie , Wyoming and back into the wild! orangutan. Markisa, a 27 year-old Sumatran Orangutan, gave birth to a

Woman Life as Foster Mom to More than 200 Animals A new book chronicles the life of Arlene Scheunemann, who was a foster mom to more than 200 wild animals.
Scheunemann worked at the Como Zoo and Conservatory in St. Paul. She started her work adopting animals when her husband brought a lion cub home in 1968.
KSTP sat down with Lori Nelson, Scheunemann's biographer and author of "Zoo Mom," Sunday morning.

year old! Twenty neonates were born in January 2013 from
the same parents who had offspring in 2011. Emerald tree boas are born brick red
and start changing color around 6-9 months of age; with red becoming orange and
eventually green; a process called ontogenesis. The white markings do not
